KATHMANDU, July 2: The Chevening Alumni Association Nepal (CAAN) has elected its new board during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Lalitpur on Sunday.
Abhishek Shrestha has been elected as the president of the newly-elected board. The board includes Rojy Joshi (vice-president), Nischhal Kharal (general secretary), Junu Shrestha (treasurer), Sujan Shilpakar (joint secretary) and Binod Parajuli (joint treasurer). The executive board includes Manoj Paudel, Ashika Sharma, Basanta Sharma, Aman Shrestha, Pradeep Ghimire, Uttam Pudasaini, and Biraj Dhungana as members.

The AGM endorsed the progress report and the audit report shared by the previous committee.
The CAAN is a network of alumni of recipients of the UK’s Chevening scholarships and fellowships and focuses on alumni engagement and fostering discussion on various issues, including but not limited to, international relations, climate change, energy, and law. “We are planning to further strengthen CAAN and expand our partnerships with our alumni networks,” said Abhishek Shrestha.
Chevening Alumni includes prominent personalities from the field of politics, public and diplomatic services, media, academia, non-governmental agencies, and the private sector.
