KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Charity shows of Tharu film ‘Bhaura’ will be organized in Dang, Bardiya and Kailali after Kathmandu.
According to the film’s producer, Nanduraj Chaudhary, after a huge demand from Tharu people in the western Nepal they have decided to organize the charity shows there.
“We will screen the movie at Hotel Highway of Kailali on October 7, Bhingla Hotel of Ghorahi, Dang on October 8 and Satya Sai Cinema Hall of Deukhuri, Dang on October 9,” said Chaudhary.
He further added that a certain amount of the profit will be donated to help Tharu students.
The movie, which is the first presentation of Champan Cultural Society, is mostly based on the existing social evils in the Tharu society and has also highlighted the cultural aspects in its story.
“The film has included various existing social evils in our Tharu society such as Kamaiya and Kamlari apart from various cultures,” added Chaudhary.
