Central Committee meeting of CPN (Maoist Center) beginning from today

Standing Committee meeting to be held at 8:30 AM

KATHMANDU, August 2: The Central Committee meeting of CPN (Maoist Center) is starting from today. The office-bearers’ meeting held on July 31 decided to live-stream the Central Committee meeting.

General Secretary of the party, Dev Gurung said that the meeting will start from 11AM at Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi. Party chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'will inaugurate the meeting.

A standing committee meeting has been called at 8:30 AM before the central committee meeting. The standing committee sitting at the party central office Paris Danda will pass the political and organizational report prepared by the party chairman PM Dahal.

General Secretary Gurung stated that PM Dahal will submit those two reports as one report. After the report is passed by the Standing Committee, the report will be submitted to the Central Committee. He said that the discussion on the report will start from today as long as there is time.

The CPN (Maoist Center) is prepared to allow all the members who want to speak at this year's Central Committee meeting to speak as much as possible.

The CPN (Maoist Center) has 387 central members. Members of the party's Accounts Commission, Election Commission and Discipline Commission will also attend the meeting. It is said that more than 700 leaders and activists will participate in the five-day meeting.
