Case filed against 11 former security men

HETAUDA, July 18: Police have filed a case under public offense act against 11 former security persons, who had deserted their jobs during the insurgency, for obstructing the highway and torching vehicles during their strike called to press the government to reinstate them in the jobs.



Those facing the case are three former Nepal Army personnel, two APF and six Nepal Police personnel.



The deserters had tried to torch a vehicle at Katle Khola in Manahari-2 of the district at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday night. They were arrested from Lothar. The arrested have admitted that they are the members of the Conflict-hit Former Security Persons’ National Struggle Committee.
