KATHMANDU, Oct 31: The Election Commission (EC) has said that from November 3 to 17, the candidates will be allowed to conduct election campaigns.
On Monday, Shaligram Sharma Paudel, spokesperson for the EC, issued a statement and said that processions, public meetings and corner meetings can be held from November 3 to November 17 as part of the election campaign for the House of Representatives and provincial assembly elections to be held on November 20.

The statement reads, "Clause 13 of the Election Code of Conduct, 2079 stipulates the conduct to be followed by political parties, candidates, fraternal organizations of the parties and related persons while carrying out activities related to gatherings, general meetings, corner meetings, meetings, gatherings or election propaganda. In the said clause 13 (y) there is a provision that after the publication of the final list of candidates, only 17 days before the day of voting, as part of the election campaign, one can hold gatherings, public meetings, corner meetings and publish or broadcast materials related to election in the media. There is a request for everyone's information on what can be done.”
