The hospital turned tense after the cadres of YCL, a sister organization of Unified CPN-Maoist, attempted attacking newly elected Executive Director Dr. Laxmi Narayan Singh on Thursday morning.[break]
Singh is close to Nepali Congress.
According to hospital staff close to Singh, the YCL cadres attempted attacking Singh while he was going to his office with his supporter staffs.
Earlier to this, kin of the patients and local residents unlocked the lock that was padlocked in the administrative building.
During the attack, window screens at Singh’s Departmental section and radio diagnosis section were smashed.
Three persons received minor injuries on the occasion.
