Cadres of Matrika-led faction held for extortion

JHAPA, May 8: Police have arrested three cadres of Matrika Yadav-led CPN (Maoist) including party’s district in-charge Sujan while they were raising donation at Maharani Jhoda of Jhapa on Saturday.



According to the police, the other two arrested for extortion are Sunil Shrestha and Subodh Basnet of Maharani Jhoda- 2. [break]



The group distributed letters to every shop and organisations at Skulchaun a few days ago asking for Rs.500 to Rs.2,500 in donation within May 8, according to an information provided by a local trader.
