PYUTHAN, Dec 13: Around two dozens of cable networks have been operating across Pyuthan district without having official registration.

No efforts have been made so far to bring such illegally operating cable networks to legal and administrative process, complained service recipients.[break]

Such cable operators have been equally charging the clients as the legally operated do, consumers added.

Thus type of TV cables have been operated in Chunjathanti, Raspurkot, Maranthana, Torewang, Machchhi, Bademaroth, Thulabesi, Nayagaun, Bhingu, Baddanda, Bangeshil, Bahane including other area of the district.

‘All the cable operators have not yet come to contact despite repeatedly corresponding them to initiate a process to bring them to legal process’, said Postal Service Officer, Amar Bahadur KC.

The cable operators are defying the requests sent by the office in a bid to bring them to legal ambit, he added.

The existing provision is that the cable networks that should be registered in the Information Ministry can get renewal license from the District Postal Office.
