CAAN to increase TIA operation hours by two hours

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has been closing the airport since November 8 from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am for the expansion of the taxiway at the TIA.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The operation period of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will be increased by two hours starting next month, following a month and a half of 14 hour operation period.


The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has been closing the airport since November 8 from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am for the expansion of the taxiway at the TIA.

Director General of CAAN Pradeep Adhikari said that the operation will now be increased by two hours, allowing for an 16-hour operation, as the taxiway expansion work is progressing quickly.
