KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced scheduled power cuts in various parts of Kathmandu today. Electricity will be disrupted in areas under the Gongabu feeder of the Maharajgunj Distribution Center to facilitate the undergrounding of the power distribution system.
According to the NEA's public notice, power supply will be interrupted from 11 AM to 3 PM in Basundhara, Gongabu Town Planning, Samakhusi, and Ranibari. The NEA has apologized for the inconvenience caused to customers in these areas and assured efforts to complete the work ahead of schedule.

Similarly, power supply will be halted from 10 AM to 5 PM in areas under the Maharajgunj Hospital Feeder, including Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, the President’s Office, the National Police Academy, and Nirmal Niwas. This outage is necessary for relocating high-capacity transmission lines and poles.
Additionally, power will be cut in various locations under the Bhojpur and Surkhet distribution centers for maintenance work and tree branch trimming.
