CA member arrested from massage parlor: Police

KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Police arrested Constituent Assembly member of Nepali Congress Krishna Prasad Yadav from a massage parlor in Maharajgunj area in the capital Friday afternoon. [break]



Organizing an emergency press conference Friday night at Anamnagar Police Station where Yadav has been detained, police claimed the CA member from Rautahat-4 was arrested when he was in a "compromising" position in the parlor. Three young women and one in her 30s have also been arrested from the massage parlor which is behind the Kanti Children´s Hospital.



Yadav has denied the charge, saying he was arrested from his house.



Police said that they have booked Yadav under Public Offense Act. They also said that Yadav was brought to Anamnagar from Maharajgunj since he was a CA member and could not be kept with other accused. Anamnagar Police Station has facility to detain VIPs.



Police also said they have conducted raids on massage parlors throughout the capital city Friday night. However, the number of those arrested was not known at the time of filing the report.
