By-election to have electronic voting in all 6 constituencies

KATHMANDU, Jan 21: Chief Election Commissioner Bhoj Raj Pokharel said on Wednesday that the Election Commission is going to conduct the by-election scheduled for April 10 through electronic voting in all six constituencies.



Speaking at a special function organized at the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Pokharel said the electronic voting will be conducted with Indian assistance.



Six Constituent Assembly seats have fallen vacant following resignation by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal from Rolpa, Sher Bahadur Deuba from Kanchanpur, Bijay Gachchhadar and Upendra Yadav from Morang, Dev Gurung from Kaski and President Dr Ram Baran Yadav from Dhanusha constituencies.
