BUSINESS BRIEFS: Free check up camp for Hero bikes

KATHMANDU, March 15: Nepal General Marketing (NGM) -- the authorized dealer for Hero bikes in Nepal -- is organizing a free check up camp from March 17 to 22. According to a press statement, customers will get free check up service and washing, 5 percent discount on lubricants, 10 percent discount on spare parts, and 50 percent discount on labor charge. The company will also provide a privilege card to the customers participating in the camp.



Through the privilege card, customers can get special discounts for a period of two years and will get a free service after every two paid services, said the statement. Besides, every day one lucky winner will get a special gift hamper from the company. [break]The free service camp will be held in 10 Hero service centers.



Honda launches XR 125L



KATHMANDU
: Syakar Trading Company has launched Honda XR 125L in the Nepali market. "Built on a rugged, semi-double-cradle steel tube frame, the XR125L offers optimal strength, rigidity and light weight for quick, assured handling over virtually all road conditions," the company said in a statement. The bike comes with a 12-litre fuel tank which offers real long range riding. Powered by 11 BHP single-cylinder four-stroke engine, the bike is tuned for low-to-mid range performance, according to the statement.



The bike will be available throughout the nation through Syakar dealer network. In Kathmandu, the bike will be sold exclusively from Honda Wing World Showroom Teku, Budhabari and Bajra Auto Trading and Wing World, Boudha.



Eicher service camp



KATHMANDU
: Eastern Motors is organizing a free service camp for Eicher vehicles on March 18 and 19. Issuing a press statement, the subsidiary of Batas Organization said the free service camp will be held at Eicher´s authorized service center in Gathhaghar. The company will be providing free maintenance and provide 20 percent discount on lubricants and spare parts, said the statement. The company expects to provide free service to more than 150 bus and trucks during the camp.



Shakya re-elected NFIA president



KATHMANDU
: Nepal Financial Institutions Association (NFIA) has re-elected Rajendra Man Shakya, CEO of Synergy Finance, as the president of the umbrella body of finance companies in the country. Shakya was elected to the top post of the association during the 17th annual general meeting of the umbrella body held in Kathmandu on Friday, says a statement issued by the association. The AGM also elected Saroj Kaji Tuladhar, CEO of Goodwill Finance, as the association´s vice president, while Rajib Pokharel, managing director of Premier Finance, was elected as the general secretary of the association. Likewise, Mana Bahing Rai, CEO of Sagarmatha Merchant Banking and Finance, was elected as the treasurer of the association.
