DAILEKH, June 11: As many as 2100 persons had their hearts checked out by a cardiologist at the health camp organized by Dailekh Sewa Samaj-Kathmandu(DSSK) on June 9 and 10 in the district headquarters of Dailekh. Run for two days, the free health camp was attended by people residing both in and outside Dailekh district.
Of the persons who got their hearts checked out, 48 were diagnosed with serious heart disease.
Free heart check-up camp held in Myagdi
A team of 14 doctors including a cardiologist Dr Anil Bhattarai were involved in the health camp for checking the health condition of people.
"I got an opportunity to serve patients in my home district for the first time. I am overjoyed at my participation in the health camp", said Rabin Khadka, a doctor at Kathmandu-based hospital who originally hails from Dailekh district. Khada had gone to Dailekh from Kathmandu on his personal expense.
Preparations are underway to run next health camp at Dullu, another place in Dailekh district
