Budhanilkantha slashes admission form charge

KATHMANDU, March 18: The Budhanilkantha School has reduced the price it charged for admission forms to Rs 100 for the new academic session following guardian´s pressure on Monday.



The school administration, which is headed by a government secretary, had been charging Rs 1000 per admission form, disregarding the Supreme Court verdict that ordered it to charge only Rs 25 as admission fee, said the chairman of the Guardian Association of Nepal Suprabhat Bhandari. [break]



However, the MoE secretary Som Lal Subedi said that he has directed the school administration to reduce the admission form charge and return the amount to those guardians who were charged Rs 1000 initially.
