BIRATNAGAR, August 1: Amid escalation in the number of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in recent days, a lockdown has again been enforced for two weeks in Biratnagar starting from Saturday.

A meeting of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee on Friday took the decision to enforce a lockdown in a bid to contain the spread of the disease, said Assistant Chief District Officer of Morang, Dhruba Bahadur Khadka.
Biratnagar has now more than 100 COVID-19 cases including ten new cases on Friday alone.
