KATHMANDU, May 1: The Bibeksheel Shaja Party has expressed concern over the government’s statement that it is being difficult to manage beds for COVID-19 patients in hospitals across the country.

Issuing a press statement on Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), maintained that the government is already finding it difficult to manage beds for COVID-19 patients in hospitals in and outside of the Kathmandu Valley.

The party has expressed serious concerns over the statement, calling it “an irresponsible move” by the government.

“There was plenty of time for the government to prepare itself and the country for this situation. But now it is the time to combat the pandemic together,” reads the press statement issued by the party.

The party has also suggested that the government collaborate with the private sector in COVID-19 management, establish temporary COVID-19 treatment centers in COVID-19 hit zones, seek medical and manpower support from neighboring countries, China and India, and re-launch COVID-19 vaccination drives in the country.
