Bharatpur inland revenue office collects Rs 6.73 bln revenue

CHITWAN July 20:The Inland Revenue Office, Bharatpur, collected Rs 6.73 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year which is 30.45 per cent more than previous fiscal year.



The Office had targeted to collect Rs 6.54 billion in the last fiscal year.



However, the Office said that revenue collection was not still satisfactory though the revenue collection surpassed the target. [break]



As per the records, the office collected Rs 565 million from income tax, Rs 34 million from rend tax and Rs 46 million from interest tax.



Similarly, the Office managed to collect Rs 5.59 billion from excise duty, Rs 474 million from VAT including other titles.
