NEPALGUNJ, Aug 29: Among the injured from the bus accident in Ganapur, Banke, one more person has died. District Police Office Banke Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Dangi reported that Bimal Rai, 30, from Ghorahi, Dang, has passed away.

Rai, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Kohalpur Medical College Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj.

Previously, Man Bahadur Oli, 60 from Tulsipur, Dang, and Santosh Bhusal, 24 from Tulsipur, who were seriously injured in the accident, had died at Bheri Hospital.

The passenger bus with registration number Bhe 1 Kha 2128, traveling from Tulsipur, Dang to Nepalgunj, was involved in an accident around noon on Thursday.

Twenty-five of the injured are receiving treatment in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur.

According to spokesperson Dangi, 21 of the injured are being treated at Bheri Hospital, and the remaining 4 are receiving care at Kohalpur Medical College Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj. One of the injured, who was treated at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, has already been discharged.

Following the accident, the driver has been taken into police custody.
