Bangladesh envoy calls on IEC chair

KATHMANDU, July 26: Newly-appointed ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Ms. Mashfee Binte Shams, called on Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Khil Raj Regmi, at his office in Singha Durbar, on Friday.



On the occasion, Chairman Regmi congratulated Shams on her appointment as the Bangladesh ambassador to Nepal and wished her a successful term.[break]



During the meeting, Ambassador Shams expressed the view that it would be appropriate to work in collaboration for the development of hydroelectricity and eradication of poverty which is a common problem in the entire SAARC region, including Nepal and Bangladesh, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers stated.



Chairman Regmi expressed that mutual cooperation could be expanded in the areas of hydropower development, trade and education.
