Saturday was observed as a black day by the Parishad stating that it was on this day in 1831 BS that Limbuwan state was seized by King Prithvi Narayan Shah. KP Palungwa of the group said that the organization is demanding implementation of the past agreement and a new constitution that includes Limbuwan state.
Due to the banda in the nine districts, the Koshi and Mechi highways remained closed.
