The hosts have expected participation of about 375 players vying for 78 gold medals. The tournament will feature three disciplines of Taolu under senior and junior categories each, while San Shou will see five weight categories under senior and seven weight categories under junior sections.
The expected expense of the tournament co-organized by Gramin Bikash Yuva Manch is Rs 313,000.
Karate selection in Hetauda
KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The national selection of the karate players to represent the country in the 11th South Asian Games is set to be held in Hetauda on November 15-17, according to the National Sports Council.
To conclude the selection in fair manner five different committees have been formed, according to a press statement by the Council.
ECAN supports Manju for treatment
KATHMANDU, Nov 8: The Educational Consultancy Association of Nepal (ECAN) on Sunday provided a cash assistance of Rs 25,100 to former national taekwondo player Manju Tuladhar, who is suffering from serious kidney problem. ECAN Vice President Deepak Gurung handed over the amount to Manju on Sunday.

Manju was a silver medalist at the Eighth South Asian Games and bronze medalist at the Asian Taekwondo Championship. Manju, undergoing kidney dialysis regularly, needs a kidney transplant.
Earlier also, ECAN had provided support of Rs 90,000 to Nepal National and International Players´ Association and Rs 30,000 for the treatment of former national volleyball player Dinesh Baniya.
