GAUR, August 13: Floods have inundated different parts of Rauthat. Gaur Municipality located in the district headquarters is filled with water. According to Rauthat Police, more than 400 houses in the district have been submerged in the floods. Such market places as Garuda Municipality, Katahariya, Shiva Nagar, Samanpur, Bariyapur, Rajpur, Gangapipara, Matsari, Khunkhunwa and Ijaminiya.
GAUR, August 8: Rautahat farmers have picketed District Administration Office (DAO), Gaur demanding compensation for destroyed crops in planted in thousands of Bighas caused by toxic liquid discharged by factories such as Jyoti Distillery, Baba Distillery and Shreeram Sugar Mill during monsoon.
RAUTAHAT, August 6: The four children, who died after drowning in water-filled ditch in Rautahat on Saturday, have been cremated en mass a day later. Locals, school children and parents mourned their death and paid them a final homage before the cremation.
