According to police, two dead bodies were found in the incident site, while two others were recovered from Tinau River in Butwal. Identification of the deceased is yet to be aertained.
Police Inspector Daktar Prasad Chaudhary said the accident occurred after a mudslide swept away the bus into the Tinau River.
According to Chaudhary scores are feared dead even though the exact number of the passengers on board is yet to be confirmed. According to the bus owner, 20 to 25 people were traveling by the bus.
A team from Armed Police Force, Nepal Army led by Chief District Officer of Palpa district has reached the incident site.
Likewise, a team of security personnel have been deployed from Rupandehi district.Since the landslide is continuing, the rescue efforts have been hampered.
A done camera from Butwal is being used to take stock of the incident, said Journalist Basanta Kunwar.
