Palpa, Oct 30: A bus carrying pilgrims from Rambha Rural Municipality-1 Hungi of Palpa met with an accident at Bulingtar in Nawalpur. Five people were killed in the incident. The bus with number plate Lu 6 KHA 7580, which was carrying pilgrims to the Mankamana temple at 11 o'clock in the night, had an accident at 3 o'clock in the morning at Bulingtar Rural Municipality-2, Mathar, Nawalpur under the Kaligandaki corridor.
In the bus accident, two men and three women died on the spot. Those who died on the spot include Palpa's Rambha Rural Municipality ward no. 1 Tara BK, 41, living in Hungi; Binay BK, Dhani BK, 62, Devi Gaha, 58, and Phulmaya Majhi, 45, living in Belchaur, Galyang Municipality, Syangja, according to Dedhgaun Nepal Police Headquarters.

Similarly, among the injured include 4-year-old Ankit Sunar, 10-year-old Krishna Kewat, 18-year-old Prabin Sunar, 20-year-old Ram BK., 21-year-old Rita BK., 25-year-old Kasiram BK., 1-year-old Aisha BK, 16-year-old Avinash BK., 17-year-old Bishal BK., 7-year-old Pushpa BK., 47-year-old Meghnath BK., 25-year-old Dilmaya Rana of Syangja Galang- 9, 3-year-old Rabin Rana of the same place, 32-year-old Sumitra BK working at Bhairahawa Bhim Hospital, Rima BK, 15 from Rambha 1, Sanu Sunar, 32 from Rambha -1, Prem Bahadur Sunar, 38 from Rambha 1, Ashish Sunar, 20, Bijay BK,36, Maya BK.
Likewise, 35-year-old Manoj Kumar BK. of Syangja Galyang -8, Uma Kumari BK., 30, of the same place, Sarita Majhi, 30, of Galyang -9, Ramu Rana, 31, of the same place, Asmita Sunar, 12, of Palpa Rambha -1, Om Bahadur BK, 47., 45-year-old Seti BK. and 48-year-old Shiva Kumari BK are also among the injured.
Driver Dil Kumar Shrestha from Rampur -3 Gandaki Dhika, co-driver Sajan Shrestha from Rampur-5 Bejhand were also injured. The injured have been sent to Narayani Community Hospital, Narayanghat for treatment. The bus fell down about 100 meters from the road. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Santosh Pathak of Nawalparasi District Police Office (Susta East) said that police and locals are currently engaged in the rescue of the injured.
