At least 10 killed in separate accidents on Saturday

KATHMANDU, Nov 8: At least 10 people died in different road accidents across the country on Saturday.

According to Nepal Police, road accidents in Salyan, Baitadi, Jhapa, Pyuthan, Bardiya, Siraha, and Syangja districts killed at least 10 people.

Three persons were killed when a vehicle  (registration number Lu 1 Jha 2911) fell about 100 off the road in Chatreshwari Rural Municipality-1 in Salyan.

In Baitadi, a jeep (registration number Ga 1 Jha 2492) lost control and plunged 40 meters from the road, killing a 33-year-old passenger.

In Jhapa, a vehicle (registration number Me 1 Cha 4767) hit a bicycle. In the accident, the bicycle rider was critically injured. The injured died in the course of treatment.

A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motorcycle (registration number Province 3- 03001 Pa 9989) in Swargadwari Municipality-3 in Pyuthan.

In Bardiya, a motorcycle with registration number Bhe 3 Pa 7870 and a tractor with registration number Bhe 1 Ta 5099 collided with each other, leaving two persons dead.

Likewise in Siraha, a truck with registration number Na 6 Kha 1565 hit a pedestrian at Bhulke Chowk in Karjanaha Municipality. The pedestrian died on the spot.

In Syangja, a teenager died when a jeep with registration number Lu 1 Cha 2696 fell 30 meters off the road at Bhirkot Municipality-5.
