KALIKOT, Feb 13: Accidents often occur when vehicles are operated without permission on the rural roads of Kalikot district. Most of the dozer operators, being engineers themselves, have had accidents on under-construction roads dug by the local level. Car accidents happen every day on these roads, which are dug haphazardly without technical measurements.

KATHMANDU, Jan 8:  Manang Air, a helicopter company that has been inactive due to two major accidents, is set to invest one billion rupees for its revival. The company aims to introduce Airbus AS 350 series helicopters by 2024, with plans to restart operations by March.

KATHMANDU, Nov 26: Four years ago, a car running at Balkumari road section in Lalitpur suddenly hit an electric pole. The then in-charge of Lalitpur Traffic Office and Police Inspector Sitaram Hachhethu reached the spot. While investigating the cause of the incident, police found that the accident occurred due to a health issue of the driver rather than his negligence.

KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Around 266 accidents have been reported in the Kathmandu Valley from October 28 and November 16. These accidents claimed the lives of seven people while 330 others were left injured.

POKHARA, Jan 30: The Gandaki Province Traffic Police Office reported a slight decrease in traffic accidents in the province, with a three percent decrease in vehicle accidents in 2021/22 compared to 2020/21.

ITAHARI, Oct 23: Nabul Nungeli Magar, 35, of Udayapur lost his life after the autorickshaw he was on board toppled near Ghurmi of Udayapur along Siddhicharan Highway during Dashain.

MORANG, Sept 11: Two people were killed in separate accidents today in Morang. Lalita Agrawal, 55, of Dharan Sub Metropolis-1 died in a car accident occurred at Kanepokhari rural municipality-7 along the east-west highway.

JUMLA, March 13: A 27-year-old Hira Adhikari from Guthichaur Rural Municipality, Khallawad died after being hit by a tractor, with Na 6 Ta 2572. She was trying to save a child when the incident took place. According to an eyewitness, seriously injured Adhikari died after she was crushed to death by backing the tractor.
