TAPLEJUNG, June 5: A military camp established at Chyangthapu VDC in far northern Panchthar district in 2058 BS has been removed.

Around 50 army men under the command of a lieutenant have left for Batukdal Battalion at the district headquarters, Phidim.

Locals expressed anger over the removal of the army camp as it was also working for border security. Locals have threatened agitation if an Armed Police Force base camp is not set up in the village even if the army camp is removed.
