APF Constable shot dead in Dang

DANG, Nov 11: An Armed Police Force (APF) constable has been shot dead in Dang.

The deceased has been identified as Jugaru Chaudhary of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City-7, Harniya. DSP Janak Malla at Dang District Police Office said that the police arrested 55-year-old Sher Bahadur KC of Ghorahi-5 Barlabot with a gun on Saturday on the charge of murdering Chaudhary.

DSP Malla said that the incident occurred when the APF constable Chaudhary went to collect leaves in the local public forest community on Thursday. He was struck by a bullet fired by Sher Bahadur KC, who was engaged in hunting at the time.

Deceased Chaudhary was working in APF Battalion No 28 headquarters Taulihawa, Kapilvastu.
