Chaturbhuj Prasad Pandit, who taught at Ashish Boarding School at Ganjabhawanipur, has been murdered. [break]His dead body was recovered from Adapur, a town across the Nepal-India border, on Saturday, Bara District Police Office said.
All educational institutions in Bara district were shut down on Sunday to protest Pandit´s murder. The N-PABSAN Bara chapter called the shutdown demanding action against the killers and security guarantee for all teachers.
Community schools here that had remained closed for a month following Patel´s murder had opened only last Wednesday.
So far, 13 teachers have been shot at in Bara district. With Pandit´s murder, 11 teachers have been killed so far, according to Devendra Giri, chairman of Teachers´ Union Bara.
