KATHMANDU, Oct 22: On Sunday morning at 7:39 AM, a seismic event of 6.1 magnitude occurred with its epicenter located in Dhading, as reported by seismologist Mukunda Bhattarai.
Bhattarai explained, "The earthquake, measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale, has originated from the Dhading region. It's important to note that this event is not a new earthquake but rather an aftershock of the Gorkha earthquake."
4.3 magnitude aftershock occurs today morning
On April 25, 2015, at 11:56 AM, an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 took place at Barpak in Gorkha.
The tremors were experienced not only in the Kathmandu Valley but also in Gorkha, Nuwakot, Makwanpur, Chitwan, and various other districts.
Information regarding any potential damage caused by the earthquake is still pending.
