KATHMANDU, March 30: Prasanna Pandarinathan, also known as Pressy, has delved into the realm of culinary writing by publishing her memoir cookbook, Ammi. The book is titled after a traditional South Indian stone grinder, the Ammi Kallu, and is filled with her mother, Nirmala Pandarinathan's cherished recipes along with captivating anecdotes of her life experiences. The cookbook also features stunning photographs that capture the essence of her family's lifelong journey in the culinary world. Ammi was published on January 15, 2021, and has received high praise from various sources, including FEMINA magazine, The Hindu, and Vogue.


Prior to this, Prasanna Pandarinathan was a renowned model who eventually transitioned into a photographer. Having Lived in multiple countries, her work reflects a blend of various cultures. In 2010, her mother, Nirmala, passed away, after which she meticulously crafted Ammi to honor her mother's legacy and share her beloved recipes with the world.
