"The aircraft has overshot due to the unstable approach. Sometimes when the 'approach profile' does not match, this happens even as the aircraft is coming at high altitude," he said.

According to the airport, the overshooting plane makes a round and lands again in about 20 minutes. An approach to Kathmandu Airport should be taken from the sky above Simra. International flights take an approach from the sky above Simra while landing at Kathmandu airport.
