´Give up partisan obstinacy´

DHANKUTA, Oct 31: Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Rakam Chemjong has stressed that the Nepali Congress (NC) and UCPN (Maoist) should shun partisan obstinacy for the formation of national government consensus.



At a gathering of party cadres  at Dhankuta on Sunday, he added there is no alternative of consensus and collaboration among major political parties. [break]



He also urged the Constituent Assembly (CA) members to be serious towards promulgating the new constitution since it is possible in the stipulated time on condition of consensus among parties.



The government has sped up its tasks to bring the peace process to a logical conclusion, he informed.



CPN-UML, Dhankuta, Chair Rajendra Rai including other leaders said the legislators should not ignore the tasks of restoring lasting peace and accomplishing the drafting of constitution.
