KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Prakash Adhikari has been elected the National President of the Nepal Jaycees.
The 43rd national convention held at Dhapashi in the capital on December 15 elected Adhikari, former President of Damak Jaycees, as its new President, according to the press statement released by the Jaycees today.
He garnered a total of 657 votes cast by representatives from 138 Jaycees chapters across the country.
Similarly, Kailash Khaki, Binod Subedi, Shreedhar Basyal and Sushil Kumar Shrestha have been elected as Executive Vice-Presidents.
Likewise, the convention elected 12 Vice-Presidents including, Atul Prasai, Shova Kharel, Sangita Khadka and Ram Sharan Silwal.
The convention inaugurated by the Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, concluded nominating Bharat Prasai as the General-Secretary, Raja Babu Shah as legal advisor and Ananda Adhikari as Treasurer.
The last day of the convention saw presence of the former founding President of the Nepal Jaycees Bhesh Bahadur Thapa and other former Presidents. RSS
