BHAKTAPUR, March 19: An Armed Police Force (APF) personnel died just after he left Pranjal Fast Food Restaurant near Radhe-Radhe-based Bhatbhateni Super Market in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-9 of Bhaktapur.
The Bhaktapur police said that 43-year-old Tirtha Dhugel, who was at the Armed Police Force Headquarters in Halchowk, passed away on Sunday.
He was a local resident of Kathmandu’s Nagarjun Municipality.
It has been reported that the locals saw him lying unconscious on the road and took him to the nearby Madhyapur Hospital in a taxi with registration number Ba 2 Ja 2456 along with a woman and a boy of around 12 to 15 years.
The Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur said that he died at the hospital during treatment. SP Prajit KC said that the police questioned eyewitnesses and the taxi driver about the incident. He said that further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
