KATHMANDU, May 10: A state-of-the-art gymnasium, named A Fitness Studio, has been opened at Hotel Annapurna in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu on Tuesday. The opening ceremony was held by the picturesque poolside of the 5-star property. Miss Nepal 2018 Shrinkhala Khatiwada inaugurated the studio. 

Noted personalities like Rojina Shrestha (Miss Earth Nepal 2017), Niti Shah (Miss International Nepal 2017) and Sahara Basnet (Miss Nepal Asia Pacific International 2017) were present on the opening ceremony. 

The gym is designed for quick and effective exercise with equipment such as elliptical machines, free weights, stationary bikes and treadmills. The main clientele for the gym is expected to be that of corporate travelers. The studio offers full membership inclusive of gym, sauna, and pool to a limited number of non-hotel guests. The gym will be functioning round the year from 6am to 9pm. However, the timings can be flexible depending on off-hours demand by the in-house guests.  Members of the studio will avail the expertise of trained attendants who will be present at all times in the gym. For post workout relaxation all members can enjoy the luxurious poolside.

The studio offers free membership to all four aforementioned pageant queens of 2017. This is a full health club membership including gym, sauna and pool, and is worth over Rs 250,000. Rojina Shrestha and Sahara Basnet expressed their joy in receiving the free membership, saying that it all worked out perfectly because their contract with their previous fitness center was just ending. 

Deepak Lekhak, director of sales and marketing at Hotel Annapurna, said: “With the expiry of the free membership for Miss Nepal 2017 winners next year, the free perks and membership of A Fitness Studio will be carried forward and offered to the successive title holders of Miss Nepal 2018.
