A Division League resumes from November 17

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: The Martyrs memorial A division football league resumes from coming November 17, under the aegis of the All Nepal Football Association. 

The league was postponed for the festivals of Dashain, Tihar and Chhat after completing the first phase. It was postponed for 42 days. “The league will resume with a complete schedule starting November 17,” said the league director Sanjib Mishra. 

The league is played in a round-robin league system among the 14 A division clubs. The winner of the league walks home with Rs. 5 million while the second and third get Rs. 3.5 million and 2.5 million respectively. 

The league winner also qualifies for the AFC Asian Cup football. It is after a gap of four years that the A division league is taking place.
