KATHMANDU, Jan 22: Machhindra football club defeated Nepal Police Club in the match held today under the Martyrs Memorial A division league football tournament.
In the match played at Dasarath Stadium in Tripureswar, Machhindra defeated NPC by 1-0. Ranjit Dhimal scored the only goal of the match in the 52nd minute.

Along with the win, Machhindra collected 16 points in eight games to climb to the second place of the league.
With the loss, NPC remains at the sixth position with 11 points.
