LAHAN, Sept 1: A civil servant from Mirchaiya Municipality-6 in Siraha district died of COVID-19 infection on Monday night.
The 55-year old man died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) in Dharan after he was tested positive for COVID-19 on August 26. He was a government employee at the Agriculture and Livestock Division of Mirchaiya Municipality.

He was a patient of diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease, according to Chief District Health Officer in Siraha Dr Krishna Dev Yadav. With this, eight individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 in Siraha as of Monday.
