The team which comprised Shrestha, State Minister Jeetu Gautam, and Joint Secretaries Chandra Ghimire and Shiva Bahadur Rayamajhi made a surprise check at the offices soon after the offices opened at 10 am.

The ministry also deputed another team to inspect Civil Service Record Keeping Office at Harihar Bhawan.

The inspection drive is aimed at ensuring that government employees come to office on time and carry out their duty upholding professional integrity and honesty.

The team found 11 civil servants, including four section officers, absent at the DAO. Similarly, around 60 staff including Director General Chandi Prasad Dahal and Deputy Director Sudha Neupane were absent at the Civil Service Record Keeping Office.
