“We have introduced this new course to make social and scientific approach to business. Students, after taking this course, will learn moral and ethical values to conduct their businesses,” claimed Naresh Prasad Shrestha, principal of Prime College, one of the 20 TU-affiliated colleges that are to start this course from the new academic session.
The course which was introduced with an aim to develop an understanding of concepts of business ethics and corporate social responsibility would develop the students' ability to analyze critically the ethical issues and social responsibility of the business which are relevant to making decisions in the contemporary business environment, stakeholders have emphasized.
"The course examines different regulatory processes, ethical standards and corporate social responsibility in Nepal," said Ravi Bhakta Shrestha, the former State Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
