KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Altogether 886 Indian nationals are currently doing time in various prisons across Nepal as of December 31, 2020, according to India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
Sharing information regarding the number of Indian nationals lodged in jails in foreign countries including Nepal to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian parliament, the MEA said that 886 Indian nationals are currently doing time in various prisons across Nepal.

According to the ministry, a total of 7,139 Indians are in prisons across the globe.
