Presenting the 60-page report in the CA, Pramila Rana, chairman of the CRCSC, said lawmakers during feedback collection campaign found that people across the country have been eagerly waiting for promulgation of the new constitution.After presentation of the report, CA Chairman Subas Nembang announced at the meeting that lawmakers can now register their views on public feedback.
As thousands of suggestions have been compiled, lawmakers are likely to lobby in favor of incorporating suggestions as per their party line.
After holding deliberations on the feedback report in the CA full House for two days, the document will be sent to the CA's Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC), where leaders from all political parties will discuss which suggestions to include and which not.
After that, the report will be forwarded to the CA's Constitution Drafting Committee for improvement based on the public feedback.
Lawmakers from four dissident political parties - Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Tarai-Madhes Democratic Party, Sadbhavana Party and Tarai-Madhes Sadbhavana Party - chanted slogans while Rana was presenting the report in the CA.
