Nepal shares point with Namibia

KATHMANDU, July 11: Nepal and Namibia shared one point each as rain spoiled the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier match in Ireland on Saturday.

Put on to bat first after losing the toss, Namibia was at 61 runs losing one wicket in 7.4 overs when further play was not possible due to rain for the third time. Stephen Baard and Raymond van Schoor made 39 and 11 runs respectively.

For Nepal, skipper Paras Khadka took one wicket.

Earlier, the start of the match was delayed by an hour due to downpour.

Nepal has topped the Group ‘A’ with three points from two matches.
