Talking over the phone with the British State Minister for Foreign and Commonwealth, Hugo Swire on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Ghimire conveyed that elections will lead to promulgating a new constitution as well as accomplishing the peace process as per aspirations of the Nepalese people. [break]
“During the telephonic conversation, Minister Ghimire was informed that the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of UK, William Hague and the UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict (UNSRSG), Zainab Hawa Bangura were scheduled to co-host an event on Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative in New York on 24th September 2013 on the sidelines of the 68th Session of the UNGA,” reads a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
On the occasion, Minister Swire invited Head of Delegation from Nepal for the participation at the launch of the event in New York on the scheduled date and time. According to the statement, Minister Ghimire replied positively on his request. Both the ministers had discussed on bilateral relations between the two countries.
