KATHMANDU, Sept 15: Speaker of the House of Representatives Devraj Ghimire informed the House about a vacant seat created following the demise by Subash Chandra Nembang. The information was shared in the HoR session on Friday.
"As per the Article 89 (F) of the Constitution of Nepal, I inform the House that a HoR seat occupied by Subas Chandra Nembang, who was elected as HoR member after winning the 2079 elections from Ilam constituency 2 is lying vacant following his death on September 12," said Ghimire.
The last rites of Nembang, CPN-UML Vice Chairperson and Chairperson of the Constituent Assembly, were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat on Thursday with state honors.

Similarly, the HoR meeting unanimously approved the proposal seeking to send the Bill to amend some Nepal Acts, 2080 to the respective committee for a clause-wise discussion.

Speaker Ghimire announced the passage of the proposal unanimously.
Speaker Ghimire also apprised the House about the letter received from the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. According to the letter, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ramesh Rijal has been assigned to look after the affairs of the Ministry of Urban Development in the absence of its minister Sita Gurung, who on September 10 left for the Netherlands to participate in an infrastructure-related programme.
The HoR will next meet at 1:00 PM on October 1.
