KATHMANDU, Dec 17: Police have made seven pickpockets public after arrest at a press meet organized in the capital on Monday.
Following complaints of pick-pocketing lodged by victims, plain-clothes police had been deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj and Metropolitan Police Sector, Gongabu. The plain-clothes police carried out an investigation into the case by impersonating themselves as passengers in the vehicles plying the Ring Road on Sunday and rounded up as many as seven people including mastermind Purna Bahadur for their involvement in pick-pocketing.

Police also combed their rooms during the investigation and seized Rs 70,500 INR 5,500 in cash, 30 notes of different countries, seven mobile sets and 200 grams of marijuana, said Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu.
