In the U-18 boys" section, Narendra Gurung won gold for Rolpa in the 48 kg weight category defeating Buddhiraj Khadka of Dang in the final. Nangja Budha Magar clinched gold in the 48 kg weight category of U-18 girls" section as she outplayed Mina Ghale of Kathmandu in the final. [break]
Likewise, Sushilya Pun Magar won gold in the U-18 girls" 57 kg weight category. She beat Divya Bajracharya of Meghdut Club in the final.
Meanwhile, Manoj Gautam of Makawanpur claimed gold in the U-18 boys" 46 kg weight category beating Janak Chaudhary of Dang in the final.
In the final of 51 kg weight category of the same age-group, Susan Manandhar of Makawanpur defeated Raj Kumar Lama of Meghdut. Sandeep Pariyar of Dang A outclassed Prem Chaudhary of Dang B in the boys" 54 kg final while Sudeep Lama of Naxal Club beat Sadab Siddiqi of Dang in the boys" 57 kg final. Santosh Ale Magar beat Bidhan Shrestha of Bosigaun Club in the boys" 60 kg final and Bishwaraj Maharjan of Thankot Club edged past Ramesh Kumar BK of Salyan in the boys" 64 kg final to clinch gold medals in their respective events.
In the girls" section, Sirjana Lama of Meghdut beat Alisha Senchury of Dang in the final of 54 kg weight category and Muna Bamjan of Tikathali Club thumped Sisam Thapa Magar of Kaski in the 57 kg final.
The tournament, organized by Dang District Boxing Association under the initiative of Nepal Boxing Association, will feature the remaining nine final matches on the last day on Sunday.
