6 injured in Rukum road accident

RUKUM, July 27: At least six persons have been injured when a bus, en route to Khalanga from Rukum, fell some 5 meters down from the road in Solavang of Khalanga-6 on Friday morning.



The bus driver Tilak Kunwar, 21, of Khalanga, Salyan, the bus owner Uttam Kunwar, Prasma BK, 5, of Maikot VDC-3, Kamal BK, 18, of Pokhara-8, Sabin Poudel, 12, of Pipal-2 and Bal Bahadur Gautam, 26, of Pipal-8 were injured in the mishap. [break]



The wounded are undergoing treatment at the district hospital, Salle, informed the district police office, Rukum. Altogether nine passengers were on board during the time of the accident.



The poor condition of the road is assumed to be the cause of the accident.
